BOSTON (AP) — The game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox on Friday night has been postponed by rain.

The opener of the four-game series was called off after rain began in the afternoon. The wet weather was expected to continue for most of the day, with temperatures in the 30s and 20 mph winds.

No makeup date was announced. The Rays’ next visit to Fenway Park is June 17 for a two-game series. Both teams have an open date the previous day.
