We see County Commissioners David Madore and Tom Mielke trying to inject religion where it doesn’t belong, at government meetings, functions, etc. This has also been done at “prayer breakfasts” hosted by our government. In spite of what the religious people would have us believe, religion is not inclusive, it is entirely exclusive. It excludes all those who don’t believe in religion and those who are of different religions.
Government on the other hand is supposed to be all inclusive, representing all and with separation of church and state. As long as the religious like Madore and Mielke wish to inject personal beliefs like religion into government, it is our duty as citizens of a constitutional, secular nation to push it out.
