OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens have signed quarterback Caleb Hanie to a 1-year contract.

The 27-year-old Hanie has not thrown a pass since 2011, when he was with the Chicago Bears. In his three seasons with Chicago, Hanie played in 10 games and threw three touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.

He will be the third man on the Baltimore depth chart at quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Tyrod Taylor.

Hanie’s most memorable appearance came in the 2010 playoffs, when he replaced injured starter Jay Cutler in a game against Green Bay. He led the Bears on two touchdown drives but also threw two interceptions.
