A suspected drunk driver remains in the hospital following a single-vehicle crash into a tree in Hazel Dell on Sunday evening.

Andrew Davis, 22, of Vancouver was driving a 1988 Toyota Supra when he crashed into a tree at 918 N.W. 87th St. about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Davis was pinned in the vehicle and extricated by personnel from Clark County Fire District 6. He was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he remains in satisfactory condition.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.
