MILWAUKEE (AP) — The San Francisco Giants placed left-handed pitcher Jeremy Affeldt on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain.
Right-handed pitcher Jean Machi has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno and was available for Tuesday’s game in Milwaukee.
Affeldt appeared in six games and allowed three earned runs in 4 2/3 innings.
