More than 200 high school seniors entering military service will be recognized at a ceremony at 10 a.m. April 27 at the Armed Forces Reserve Training Center, 15005 N.E. 65th St.

The third annual such event is hosted by the Our Community Salutes Committee of Portland, Vancouver and Clark County. This group includes local veterans, educators, community members and business leaders. This event is an opportunity to meet seniors and to hear why they enlisted in the military.

This is the largest Our Community Salutes event in the Northwest. Seating is limited at the free, public event. For information, call Candice Ziegler, 503-256-1436.
