NEW YORK (AP) — Shakeira, the even-money favorite, rallied to beat Sure Route by a half-length Saturday in the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares on the turf at Aqueduct.

It was the sixth win in 17 starts for the 5-year-old trained by Chad Brown. Rajiv Maragh was aboard for the 1 1/16 miles over the firm course in 1:44.18.

Shakeira paid $4.10, $2.60 and $2.10. Sure Route returned $3.50 and $2.40, and Sweet and Lovely paid $2.50 to show.
