PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns announced Monday that they have parted ways with general manager Lance Blanks after a season during which the team posted the second-worst record in franchise history.

In a release, Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby called Blanks “a trusted friend and colleague” and thanked him for his work with the franchise.

Babby says the team will continue to prepare for the offseason while looking for Blanks’ replacement.

Blanks has been the GM since August 2010.
