Letter: Fix Portland’s problem first

The Columbian
Published: April 24, 2013, 5:00pm

The recent “poll” the Columbian purchased seems to be as flawed as most polls these days. The results seem to favor the people behind the poll. The Columbian is an outspoken supporter of the CRC, so why would we expect the poll to come out against it?

Who actually was contacted for the poll? I have spoken to a number of interested people who have never been contacted for their opinion on the CRC and especially light rail. The only true poll would be a vote by the citizens of Clark County.

Does anyone at The Columbian travel to Portland in the morning?

Yes, the Interstate 5 Bridge slows the traffic. But the traffic comes to a stop in North Portland from the Rose Garden area. Fix that problem. With all of the money that is squandered on CRC studies, the solution should be obvious even to your editorial staff.
