CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals have taken their first offensive lineman in this year’s draft, getting guard Tanner Hawkinson from Kansas in the fifth round.

Cincinnati signed right tackle Andre Smith to a three-year contract extension on Friday night, keeping their starting line intact from last year. Hawkinson will help with depth on the line. He’s played both tackle and guard and is a converted tight end.

The Bengals opened the day by choosing linebacker Sean Porter from Texas A&M in the fourth round.
