TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have added a second offensive guard in this year’s draft, using a fourth-round pick to take James Madison’s Earl Watford.

Arizona used the seventh overall pick to take North Carolina’s Jonathan Cooper and took Watford with the 116th overall pick after swapping fourth-round selections with the New York Giants.

Recruited as a tackle, the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Watford played both positions as a redshirt freshman before starting 23 straight games at left guard for the Dukes.

With Watford as its anchor, James Madison was 12th in rushing in the Football Championship Subdivision.
