INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts took Southern California center Khaled Holmes with their fourth-round pick in Saturday’s NFL draft.

Holmes , the 121st overall selection, is listed at 6-foot-3, 302 pounds. He has been protecting quarterback Matt Barkley since the two were in high school. Philadelphia took Barkley with the first pick in the fourth round.

And Holmes has an football lineage, too. His father played for Bo Schembechler at Michigan in the 1970s, his brother, Alex, was on Southern Cal’s national championship team and his brother, Troy Polamalu, plays for the Steelers.

He is the second straight offensive lineman taken by the Colts. They took guard Hugh Thornton in the third round Friday and linebacker Bjoern Werner in the first round Thursday.

Indy still has three picks remaining on Saturday.
