CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have recalled right-hander Trevor Bauer from Triple-A Columbus to start Wednesday night’s game against Philadelphia.
Bauer, the No. 3 pick in the 2011 draft by Arizona, will be making his second start of the season. He walked seven and allowed three runs in five innings in a loss to Tampa Bay on April 6. Bauer was 1-0 with a 2.50 ERA in three starts for Columbus. He was acquired in a three-team trade in December that included Arizona and Cincinnati.
Left-hander Nick Hagadone, who had a 2.45 ERA in eight relief appearances, was optioned to Columbus.
