COLFAX — The Whitman County sheriff’s office says a Washington State University graduate student attempted to poison his wife as she slept.

The woman reported last week that it happened in the early morning hours of March 27 at their home in the town of Uniontown.

Deputies booked 32-year-old Jacob P. Forster into jail in Colfax for investigation of murder. He’s scheduled to make his first appearance Wednesday in Whitman County Superior Court.
