Dancingtothestars wins Del Mar feature

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Dancingtothestars rallied in the stretch to win the $85,000 BOMA San Diego Purse for older fillies and mares by 214 lengths at Del Mar on Thursday.

Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Dancingtothestars ran a mile on the turf in 1:33.33 and paid $10.40, $4.60 and $2.80.

A Jealous Woman set a blazing pace and returned $5.60 and $4. Hard to Resist was another half-length back in third and paid $3.60 to show. Miss Ellany, the 4-5 favorite, faded to sixth and last.

Trained by Doug O’Neill, Dancingtothestars has five wins in 16 career starts. O’Neill saddled one other winner on the card after winning three races on Wednesday.

Julien Leparoux rode three winners.
