Meadow Homes — A Fort Vancouver High School graduate won a regional Emmy award this year for his work in helping to direct live sports broadcasts. It’s the fourth Emmy that Patrick Brown has received from the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Newcastle resident and 1991 Fort Vancouver graduate won this year for being part of a team that presents live broadcasts of Seattle Mariners games on Root Sports. Winners were announced in June. As a director for Root Sports, Brown has worked on broadcasts of the Portland Timbers, Seattle Seahawks and other teams from the Northwest. He won an individual Emmy last year for his work directing live game broadcasts.
