LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned shortstop Dee Gordon to Triple-A Albuquerque and recalled outfielder Scott Van Slyke.

The streaking NL West leaders made the moves before opening a seven-game road trip in Philadelphia on Friday night.

Gordon went 5 for 14 in six games since the Dodgers recalled him Aug. 5, but also made three errors at shortstop during their victory over Tampa Bay last Sunday. Regular shortstop Hanley Ramirez returned to the Dodgers’ lineup Wednesday after sitting out nine games with an injured right shoulder.

Gordon is batting .208 during his stints with Los Angeles this season.

Van Slyke is getting his fourth stint with the Dodgers this season. He is batting .242 with six homers and 15 RBIs in 36 games for Los Angeles.
