Hard Enough holds on to win Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Hard Enough went wire-to-wire to win the $60,000 Restoration Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, holding off Michael With Us by a head in the closing strides.

Ridden by Paco Lopez and trained by Bobby Dibona, the 3-year-old colt ran 1 1/8 miles on a firm turf course in 1:47 and paid $7.60, $4.20 and $2.80. It was the fourth win in 14 career starts for Hard Enough, who has now earned $140,040 overall.

Michael With Us returned $4.40 and $2.80, and Always Curious was a head back in third and paid $3.80.
