I couldn’t agree more with letter writer Jerry A. Lund about toying with the idea of inviting people from out of town or area to visit (“Ticket those who litter,” Aug. 15). It is not only a crappy, dirty, ill-kept downtown, but the streets are horrible and embarrassing. Maybe some more auto alignment places should be built for the vehicles to get repair work done. The uptown area seems to be doing better than the downtown. Is that where all the money is? Let’s pretend for a moment that the downtown area is like East Mill Plain around 164th. Loads of money up there. My point is, let’s get more shops in the downtown area to bring in more revenue to repair this ill-kept community.
