CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals waived tight end Richard Quinn and waived five other players on Sunday, leaving them with 81 on the roster.

Quinn was on the roster for 15 games last season but was inactive each week. He was Denver’s second-round pick in 2009 and played in 29 games, including four starts, in two seasons.

The Bengals also waived defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga of Hawaii, a first-year player, and four rookies: receiver Jheranie Boyd of North Carolina, cornerback Terrence Brown of Stanford, linebacker Jordan Campbell of New Mexico Highlands and kicker Quinn Sharp of Oklahoma State.

The Bengals have to reach the 75-player roster limit by Tuesday.
