Bashart wins With Anticipation at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Bashart took the lead shortly after the break and was never threatened in a 112-length victory in the $200,000 With Anticipation Stakes for 2-year-olds Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.

The Todd Pletcher-trained Bashart, ridden by Javier Castellano, ran 1 1/6 miles over the turf course in 1:41.97 and earned $120,000 for Rosedown Racing. Bashart paid $7.70, $4 and $3.10.

River Dancer returned $7.10 and $4.60, and Marvin’s Miracle, third of eight, paid $4.60 to show.
