Longhorn Network signs up Time Warner Cable

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The Longhorn Network is turning up on the channel guides of another major cable television provider.

Time Warner Cable has added the ESPN network dedicated to the athletic program at the University of Texas. The network went live on Time Warner Cable’s Texas systems Friday, in time for Saturday night’s telecast of the Texas Longhorns’ opener against New Mexico State.

Financial terms and other details of the agreement aren’t being disclosed.

The Longhorn Network also will carry the Sept. 14 game against Ole Miss and the Nov. 2 game against Kansas, plus exclusive pregame and postgame programming for all Longhorns football games. The network also provides live coverage of Texas men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, rowing, track and field and golf.
