Twins add CF Presley to roster after Morneau trade

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Minnesota added center fielder Alex Presley to its roster Sunday, a day after acquiring him from Pittsburgh in the trade for Justin Morneau.

Presley was leading off for the Twins in the finale of a series at Texas.

Presley was the only addition made by the Twins on the day rosters could expand, giving them a 26-man roster. AL West-leading Texas made seven additions, giving the Rangers 32 active players.

While the Rangers’ top two farm teams didn’t make the playoffs. Minnesota’s Triple-A affiliate at Rochester entered Sunday one game behind for the International League wild card with two games to play.

Catcher Josmil Pinto, recalled from Rochester on Saturday, made his major league debut Sunday and batted eighth.
