Morehead State hangs on to beat Wright State 74-69

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Angelo Warner had 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds to lead Morehead State to a 74-69 victory over Wright State on Monday night.

Billy Reader’s dunk with 25 seconds to go put Morehead State in front 72-67 and Warner iced the game on two free throws with 8 seconds left.

Chad Posthumus added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Morehead State. Reader had 14 points off the bench and Brent Arrington had 10 points.

Morehead State (7-3) struggled from 3-point range, making only 1 of 16. The Eagles made up for it by making 23 of 32 free throws, compared to only 7 of 15 for Wright State.

Wright State (5-4) missed the front end of three 1-and-1s in the final five minutes which was the difference in the game. JT Yoho had a team-high 18 points off the bench and Miles Dixon added 16 for the Raiders.
