Nebraska-Omaha overwhelms Waldorf 100-66

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — CJ Carter scored 15 points and Devin Patterson added 14 as Nebraska-Omaha rolled past Waldorf of the NAIA 100-66 Tuesday night.

The Mavericks (6-3) shot 55.1 percent from the field and dished out 26 assists. They jumped out to an early 20-4 lead capped by 3-pointers from Carter and Marcus Tyus, and coasted to a 52-29 advantage at the break.

Tyus scored 10 points, while Alex Phillips had 11 with six assists. Five Maverick players finished with eight points.

Waldorf (3-3) trailed the entire game, with their smallest deficit of 3-2 after a Jordan Nelson layup coming less than two minutes in before Nebraska-Omaha pulled away. The Warriors committed 22 turnovers and were outrebounded 38-28.

Nelson paced Waldorf with 17 points and seven rebounds. Teddy Gibson and Trey Scott each added 11 points.
