Binghamton defeats Mount St. Mary’s 74-70

EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Jordan Reed scored 17 points joining three of his teammates in double digits as Binghamton defeated Mount St. Mary’s 74-70 on Wednesday night.

Reed had eight rebounds, two assists and two steals for Binghamton. Marlon Beck scored 19 points, Yosef Yacob had 18, and Nick Madray came off the bench to score 12 points with a team-high 10 rebounds. The win breaks a 4-game losing streak for the Bearcats (2-6).

Binghamton led by 10 the break but Mount St Mary’s battled back in the second. Trailing 59-40 with 6:20 remaining, the Mountaineers (2-7) used a 13-3 scoring run to cut the deficit to nine with just under three-minutes left. They came within two with 1.7 seconds left on the clock.

The Mountaineers’ scoring leader was Julian Norfleet with a game-high 26 points, three rebounds, and seven assists.
