Battle Ground — The important work of Battle Ground Public Schools’ 24 school psychologists was highlighted during a mid-November school board meeting held during National School Psychologist Awareness Week. Battle Ground special education directors Denny Waters and Ellen Wiessner made a presentation to the board about the support school psychologists provide to students, while Tukes Valley Primary Psychologist Tamra Sheetz gave each board member a Gumby figurine. “This toy is known for its flexibility, just like us,” said Sheetz, as quoted in a district newsletter. “We serve our kids by being flexible to their needs and supporting each other.”
