Williams, Evans out for Jazz against Pacers

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Jazz forwards Marvin Williams and Jeremy Evans are sitting out Utah’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

Williams was examined by Utah medical staff and had a bone scan on his right foot in Salt Lake City on Tuesday that showed inflammation.

He is day to day and Enes Kanter started in his place Wednesday night. Williams is averaging 10.4 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Evans is out with the stomach flu. He is Williams’ primary backup at power forward,

Danny Granger traveled with the Pacers, but was inactive. He has played only five games this season due to a strained calf.
