Boys basketball: Union 77, Mountain View 42

Union 77, Mountain View 42 — Micah Paulson scored 22 points, and Blake Conley is 1-0 as Union’s basketball coach.

The Titans, playing their first game in program history without Maco Hamilton as coach, jumped out to a 23-point lead at the half, holding the Thunder to 12 points in the first two quarters.

Isaiah Robinson had five blocked shots to lead the Union defense.

Paulson connected on three 3-pointers and was 9 of 11 from the free throw line.

Derrick Derryberry had 10 points and five assists. Stephen Ammentorp led the Titans with six rebounds.

Alex Torson led Mountain View (1-1) with 15 points. Dion Rockmore added 12.
