Seton Hall streaks past LIU-Brooklyn 92-81

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Brian Oliver came off the bench to score 26 points, nailing a career-high eight 3-pointers in leading Seton Hall to a 92-81 victory over Long Island University-Brooklyn on Thursday night at the Prudential Center.

It was the sixth straight victory for Seton Hall (5-3) in its series against LIU (2-5), dating back to 1989.

Oliver, a 6-7 senior, stands third on the Seton Hall list for most 3-pointers made, tied with Jeremy Hazell, who did it twice. All 25 of Oliver’s field goals this season have been 3-pointers.

Guard Jason Brickman paced LIU with 19 points and nine assists. Eugene Teague posted a double-double for Seton Hall with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Sterling Gibbs and Brandon Mobley contributed 16 and 14 points, respectively, for Seton Hall.
