Gary Bock has been named executive director of the Southwest Washington Contractors Association, replacing Mike Bomar, who recently was appointed president of the Columbia River Economic Development Council.

Bock, former executive director of the Vancouver Watersheds Alliance, is a long time community activist who has worked with many local nonprofits on fundraising and volunteer management.

The Southwest Washington Contractors Association is a nonprofit trade association with over 400 contractors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers. It operates an on-line plan center where members can search through hundreds of plans available for bid. The association also provide education, networking, 401(K) plans and health insurance to members.

Bock is to be presented to members and associate members at the organization’s annual holiday dinner and auction Friday evening.
