Idaho State beats Carroll 77-50

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Tomas Sanchez had 18 points and eight assists and Jeffrey Solarin had 16 points and 10 rebounds on Friday night as Idaho State stifled Carroll 77-50.

Idaho State broke the game open with a 17-2 run that gave the Bengals a 26-11 lead with 3:29 left in the first half. They limited Carroll to only 19 first-half points and cruised in the second half, leading by as many as 31.

Idaho State (3-2) was 29 of 52 from the field and 8 of 17 from 3-point range. Evann Hall had 14 points and Andre Hatchett added 10 as the Bengals are off to their best start since 2005-06.

Zach Taylor led Carroll with 15 points and five assists but the Saints had 18 turnovers and struggled from 3-point range with only 3-of-14 shooting. Logan Silveira added 12 points and Dennis Mikelonis had 10.
