EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Rashad Whack scored 18 points, leading four Mount St. Mary’s players in double figures in a 70-58 win over Loyola on Saturday.

Mount St. Mary’s (3-7) snapped a two-game losing skid, pulling away from Loyola (5-3) in the second half.

The Mountaineers held a five-point advantage at half, but saw the lead reduced to 47-46 midway through the second half after Dylon Cormier made a pair of free throws. Mount St. Mary’s responded with a 10-1 run and the Greyhounds could not make up the deficit.

Julian Norfleet’s layup with 4:05 left gave the Mountaineers a double-digit lead at 61-50 that held for the remainder of the game.

Norfleet (16), Taylor Danaher (12) and Gregory Graves (10) joined Whack in double figures. Norfleet also had four assists, three steals and a blocked shot.

Cormier led Loyola with 13 points and Franz Rassman added 12.
