SE Missouri St hangs on to beat SE Louisiana 74-73

HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Tyler Stone and Jarekious Bradley scored 20 points apiece as Southeast Missouri State came back to beat Southeastern Louisiana 74-73 on Saturday.

Antonnio Benton’s dunk pulled SE Louisiana to within one point with 52 seconds left, but the Lions missed two 3-point attempts during their final possession.

SE Missouri State trailed by seven at halftime and took its first lead since the opening minutes on a Stone basket with 11:29 left. The Redhawks shot a season-low 38.7 percent from the field in the first half, but made 11 of 13 to start the second.

Stone and Bradley were both 8 of 15 from the field for SE Missouri State (7-2). Bradley pulled down 10 rebounds and Stone had nine.

Benton scored 21 points for SE Louisiana (3-5). The Lions were 8 of 24 from the 3-point line and held SE Missouri State to just three long-range makes.
