St. Francis (Pa) pulls away from Cornell 72-62

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Malik Harmon scored 19 points as St. Francis outlasted Cornell for a 72-62 win Saturday.

St. Francis (2-7) closed the first half on an 11-4 run to take a 30-22 halftime lead. Cornell (0-10) responded, tying the game at 37 with 14:21 left after a Robert Hatter 3-pointer.

The Red Flash ripped off a 15-5 run to push the lead to 52-42 with 10:48 remaining. The Big Red never got closer than six points for the rest of the game.

Harmon got most of his points from the free-throw line, finishing 13 of 19 from the stripe while shooting 3 of 10 from the field. Dominique Major added 16 points, and Earl Brown scored 14 while pulling down 19 rebounds.

Hatter led Cornell with 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Cornell finished 4 of 21 from 3-point range and 6 of 15 from the line.
