North Dakota State defeats Bryant 66-62

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — TrayVonn Wright scored 18 points and sparked a second-half run that sent North Dakota State to a 66-62 victory over Bryant on Saturday.

Marshall Bjorklund added 15 points and Taylor Braun 14 for the Bison (6-3), who extended their winning streak to four games while ending the Bulldogs’ at four.

Trailing by four at halftime, the Bison took the lead on a 9-2 run, including seven points from Wright, to go up 54-47 with 4:05 remaining.

Bryant (6-3) made a late charge and got within 61-60 with 31 seconds left. But five NDSU free throws down the stretch preserved the victory.

NDSU held a 43-29 rebounding edge. Neither team shot well from 3-point range but Bryant took 12 more attempts than NDSU, making just 6 of 23.

Dyami Starks led Bryant with 26 points with Alex Francis scoring 15 and Corey Maynard 11.
