CAM Academy in Battle Ground Public Schools will reopen Tuesday after crews successfully restored heat to the building.

The closed was closed today due to a water pipe break in the sprinkler system and no heat in some of the classrooms.

The problem was found at 3:30 a.m. today. All parents of CAM have been notified of the closure. The school was closed before students arrived, said Sean Chavez, district spokesman.

The alternative school for grades 3-12 is located within the city of Battle Ground, just north of Captain Strong Primary and Chief Umtuch Middle schools. All other district schools are open and on time today.
