Boys basketball: Hudson’s Bay 78, Washougal 47

The hot shooting Eagles took control with a big second period against the visiting Panthers. Hudson’s Bay (2-2) outscored Washougal 23-9 in the second quarter to lead by 18 at the break.

The Eagles shot 68 percent from the floor and half of their 26 field goals were 3-pointers.

Tyler Barton had 24 points and eight rebounds, Micah Fitzpatrick scored 17 and David Ponomerav 14 for Hudson’s Bay.
