LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former NBA player Lamar Odom has pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge and accepted a sentence of three years’ probation and three months of alcohol abuse treatment.

Los Angeles city attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan says Odom entered the plea Monday to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. In a deal with prosecutors, he was also ordered to pay $1,814 in fines and penalties. The status of his suspended driver’s license will be determined at a separate hearing.

Odom was arrested Aug. 30 after his Mercedes-Benz SUV was spotted weaving on an LA freeway.

He is currently out of the NBA, going unsigned as a free-agent after averaging a career-low 4 points and 5.9 rebounds last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
