CORVALLIS, Ore. — Students at Oregon State University say the snowstorm that closed the school over the weekend and disrupted the finals schedule means juggling holiday travel schedules, including rescheduling flights.
The university reopens Tuesday for finals week after closing Friday. The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports that instead of taking tests, groups of students gathered Monday in a few open places such as dining halls and a coffeehouse to get in some last-minute studying.
Joshua Suran, a freshman from Bend, said he found it ironic that a snowstorm meant a delay in his skiing plans.
University spokesman Steve Clark says students with travel plans that conflict with rescheduled exams should consult with their teachers to see if a special time is available.
The changes could affect around half the 24,000 students on campus.
