DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos are without wide receiver Wes Welker and cornerback Champ Bailey for their game Thursday night against the San Diego Chargers.
Bailey is missing his 10th game with a nagging left foot injury. He’s played just one game since Oct. 20 and that was the first half at Kansas City on Dec. 1. Coach John Fox said this week the Broncos might have rushed him back too quickly.
Welker is out after sustaining a concussion Sunday, his second in four weeks.
Other inactives for Denver are: Zac Dysert, C.J. Anderson, J.D. Walton, Chris Kuper and Derek Wolfe.
Out for San Diego are: Brad Sorensen, Lavelle Hawkins, Johnny Patrick, Brandon Taylor, Stephen Schilling, Kenny Wiggins and Kwame Geathers.
