SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Mariners have finalized a one-year contract with free agent Corey Hart and a trade with the Miami Marlins to acquire Logan Morrison.

Seattle announced the moves on Friday after the players passed physicals. Morrison was acquired for right-handed reliever Carter Capps, while Hart signed an incentive-laden one-year deal after missing all of 2013 due to knee surgery.

The moves came a day after All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano following finalized his $240 million, 10-year deal.

Hart and Morrison provide versatility should both be healthy. Both can play in the outfield and have time playing at first base.

Hart is a two-time All-Star. He hit .270 in 2012 with 30 homers and 83 RBIs for Milwaukee.
