Southern University defeats Dillard 107-64

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — YonDarious Johnson scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures as Southern University defeated NAIA Dillard 107-64 Saturday night.

Every player scored for Southern (3-7) as the Jaguars surpassed their previous game-high 87 points. Johnson was 8 of 14 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds. Bryce Clark also had eight rebounds to go with his 15 points.

Macolm Miller scored 16 points, and Javan Mitchell and Tre Lynch each added 14 for Southern. The Jaguars had 21 assists, led by Christopher Hyder’s five.

Jeremy Rixner scored the first basket of the game and gave Dillard its only lead. Southern answered with a 16-4 run, capped by a Frank Snow dunk. Dillard would not get any closer. Rixner finished with nine points and a game-high nine rebounds. Jarrain Jenkins scored 15 points to lead the Bleu Devils.
