Woodland — Along with a new name, the Woodland ACTION Center, formerly the Woodland Community Service Center, plans to expand its services aimed at low-income households. The ACTION Center, just as it did before, operates a food pantry and donation center and helps with emergency assistance for families in need. With its new name, the center’s board of directors also announced a goal of developing job-training programs. The center accepts donations of food, clothing and household items on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. at 736 Davidson Ave.
