Jackson, Northern Kentucky top Chattanooga 87-71

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) — Jordan Jackson scored 10 of his 16 points in the second half as Northern Kentucky, which had six players score in double figures, pulled away from Chattanooga for an 87-71 victory on Sunday.

Tyler White’s 3-pointer with 17:44 remaining sparked a 19-0 run by NKU (2-7) that was capped by another 3-pointer from Dean Danos. The Norse hit four of their seven 3-point shots in that stretch which ended with NKU leading 67-45.

Chattanooga (4-7) jumped out to a 14-4 lead with 15:51 left in the first half but was out-rebounded 33-22 and out-scored 44-18 in the paint.

Martynas Bareika led the Mocs, who shot 36 percent from the field, with a career-high 29 points.

Jalen Billups and Anthony Monaco each scored 12 points while White, Jake Giesler and Dean Danos finished with 10 apiece.

NKY shot 66.7 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from deep.
