CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson will start Sunday against the New York Jets.
Johnson, who leads the Panthers in sacks this season, was added to the injury report Saturday as questionable after developing an illness.
Inactive for the Panthers are: running back Jonathan Stewart, wide receivers Tavarres King and Marvin McNutt, offensive tackle Travis Bond, defensive end Wes Horton, cornerback Josh Norman and linebacker Jordan Senn.
The Jets inactives include quarterback David Garrard, running back/kick returner Darius Reynaud, tight end Chris Pantale, offensive linemen Will Campbell, Ben Ijalana and Oday Aboushi and linebacker Jermaine Cunningham.
