Clark women roll past Walla Walla

Six players scored in double figures as the Clark College women’s basketball team defeated Walla Walla 92-72 on Sunday at the O’Connell Center.

Nicolette Bond led the Penguins (4-2) in scoring with 16 points and four rebounds.

Brooke Bowen scored 15 points to go with four steals and three assists, Sarah McKee and SirRenahdi Battle each had 14 points, and Taylor Howlett and Andrea Smith had 10 points each.

Clark scored 31 points off 23 Walla Walla turnovers.

Clark also made 55 percent of its field goal attempts.

Walla Walla’s Josie Jordan led all scorers with 28 points as the Warriors fell to 5-3.

Next for the Penguins is a matchup against Mt. Hood at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the O’Connell Center.
