LONDON (AP) — The UCI says Team Sky rider Jonathan Tiernan-Locke is facing a doping hearing after discrepancies in his biological passport.
Tiernan-Locke, who joined Sky after winning the 2012 Tour of Britain, withdrew from Britain’s team at this year’s world championships because of the UCI investigation.
The UCI says an analysis of his biological passport showed “use of prohibited substances and/or methods.”
The UCI has asked British Cycling to open disciplinary proceedings against the former Endura team rider.
