UNC Greensboro beats James Madison 78-65

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Nicholas Paulos scored 21 points to help send UNC Greensboro past James Madison 78-65 on Wednesday night.

Kyle Cain had 20 points with a team-high seven rebounds and three assists. Kayel Locke scored 11 points with three assists and R.J. White came off of the bench to post 12 points with six rebounds. The Spartans (6-6) hit 52 percent from the field, 76.5 percent from the line, and 58 percent from 3-point territory.

The Dukes (3-9) had a 42-36 advantage at the break but the Spartans took the lead early in the second period on a flurry of 3-pointers by Paulos, Locke, Cain and Tyrone Outlaw. Another Paulos 3-pointer at 2:55 extended the Spartans lead to 72-61. Paulos hit 7 of 11 from 3-point range.

Ron Curry led the Dukes with 23 points.
