Elon dominates Central Pennsylvania in 126-78 win

ELON, N.C. (AP) — Ryley Beaumont scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as six Elon players hit double figures in a 126-78 win over Central Pennsylvania Thursday night.

Elon (6-6) shot 59 percent from the field and set a school record for most points scored in a game. The previous record of 124 had stood since 1955.

Sebastian Koch contributed 21 points for the Phoenix, while Lucas Troutman added 16 and nine rebounds. Tanner Samson scored 14 points, Kevin Blake chipped in with 13 and Christian Hairston with 10.

Central Pennsylvania, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, kept the game close midway through the first half before Elon took control with a 27-13 run to carry a 56-36 advantage into the break. The Phoenix continued to pull away in the second half.

Andres Batte led Central Pennsylvania with 31 points, while Devon Dorsey contributed 18 and Tyree Tucker had 14.
